Albion Hills Community Farm is a non-profit farm that advances the understanding of local food and sustainable agriculture practices through farming, education, conservation and community partnerships. Launched in 2011 in partnership with the Toronto Region Conservation Authority (TRCA), Albion Hills Community Farm is leased from TRCA as part of its commitment to sustainable communities and sustainable near-urban agriculture. The 18 acre farm is located in the Town of Caledon in the Humber watershed, 40 minutes north of Toronto within the Albion Hills Conservation Area, Ontario’s oldest conservation area. Albion Hills Community Farm provides learning opportunities, plots for rents in our allotment garden, food for purchase at our Farm Stand and Special Events. There is always a lot of work to be done at the farm and we welcome anyone who would like to volunteer some of their time to help us weed, tend and harvest the produce. We are also looking for enthusiastic and handy folk who can help us with projects and improvements around the farm. We sell fresh vegetables at the farm on Thursday evenings from 4pm – 7pm, from July until mid-October. Please bring your own bags! While you are visiting, take a look round our thriving allotment plots and the Children’s Learning Garden. Our farm is a working farm from May 1 to November 1. If you would like to visit outside the hours mentioned above, please be sure to pre-arrange your visit. It’s why we can bring to the highest quality fresh food for a fraction of what you would pay at market.
