Pura Vida Farm SA

Pura Vida has special meaning. In Spanish it means "Pure Life" and is a common saying in Costa Rica where I served a Mission for my church years ago. That saying is the essence of beauty, love, family, desire to be actively engaged in a good cause, independence, and liberty to achieve and make a difference. We strive to have the best organic, biodynamic, permacultural practices possible on our 28 acres in Natalia, Texas. We never use chemicals, herbicides, pesticides, antibiotics, or anything that could decrease the immune system. Instead we use Homeopathy — an alternative medicine that increases the immune system in people, animals, plants and microbiology in the soil. Not many farmers know how to implement this extra tool! Our A2/A2 Jersey cows are 100% grass-fed with organically grown barley fodder sprouts. We rotationally graze all our animals — cattle, sheep, chickens, and ducks — moving them to fresh green paddocks with portable electric fences. Everything stays raw and unpasteurized, from our milk to our cream, butter, cheese, yogurt, kefir, and ice cream, sold through our herdshare program.
